Getting started: It's easier to train your dog if your training schedule can be flexible. Daily
training practice at home and consistent attendance at sessions without interruption is
essential for success. Training Packages and Board & Train programs are designed to be
continuous and consistent and cannot be broken up into segments or spread out over a longer
period of time.

Training

We cannot give any promises, timelines, or guarantees for training results.

Successful dog training includes learning our vocabulary and techniques, attending dog
training sessions on an uninterrupted set schedule, consistent daily practice during and after
training with us, multiple owners being on the same page, frequent socialization, ongoing
guidance, follow-up training when needed, the health and age of your dog, and more.

We can’t “go home with you” to monitor daily training, consistency, or the dog's environment.
Based on these critical factors, we’re unable to offer promises or a “Money Back Guarantee”
on training packages, board & train, training sessions. Successful dog training requires
daily practice and training on a long-term basis to be successful.

Dog owners must notify the office in writing (with complete documentation) within 48 hours
in the unfortunate event your dog is stolen, lost, becomes ill, is injured or dies, and these
situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Documentation is required.

If you decide to give your dog back to a breeder, shelter, or rescue organization after
purchasing a training package or completing some or all of the training, no refunds will be
given and remaining training, if any, is not transferable to another dog.
If you move out of the area after you’ve purchased a training package, or before you’ve
completed your package, no refunds will be given, and the package or remaining training is not
transferable to another dog.

No refunds for in-person evaluations if you have started and/or completed the evaluation,
are a no-show, arrive late, or cancel with less than a 48-hour notice. Evaluation fees cannot be
deducted from the cost of any training package or other purchase.

We must be able to contact you: We require a cell phone number with voicemail that you
check regularly and a current email address so we can confirm appointments, send text
reminders, and inform you of schedule changes and unforeseen emergencies, as needed. If we
call you, it’s important that you contact us immediately. If we attempt to contact you and don’t
hear back from you, we reserve the right to give your time slot to another client who needs the
appointment.

Cancellation and No-Show: If you’re unable to keep your scheduled training session, we
require a full 48-hour notice by email to leashdrop@gmail.com. If you are a no-show or fail to
cancel in with 48 hours notice, your training session, will be forfeited.
In the event of a true emergency, please contact the office immediately. We will handle your

If you have any questions please reach out to us at 312-600-7314

  • How do I get started with training?
The first step to enroll in any one of our Board and Train programs or private sessions is to schedule a phone consultation. This allows us to briefly discuss your goals for them and what’s expected from you for your dog to be successful. If your dog has severe behavioral issues like aggression or reactivity, an evaluation may be required before moving forward.
  • How old does my dog have to be to begin training?
Our puppy program is for young puppies up to 5 months. 3-week program is for dogs 4 months and older. 5-week On & Off Leash Program is for dogs 8 months and older. *All programs require proof of your dogs core vaccinations.
  • Why do I need to schedule an evaluation?
An evaluation is important to make sure that the dog coming in to board with us will not pose a risk to the staff or students during training. We observe any inappropriate or unwanted habits, and gather a baseline of your dog’s behavior, especially in public. It also gives us a chance to discuss training goals, while creating realistic expectations for our students and clients. Once the evaluation is complete, we will be able to recommend an appropriate training program/package.
  • What happens after my evaluation?
After your evaluation, we can begin scheduling your dog’s start date to enter training camp or start scheduling your private sessions, all depending on what services you opt for. We usually have a two-week lead time between the evaluation and the start date.
  • My dog shows aggression and has reactive behavior, can you help us?
Depending on the severity of the behavior, a board and train program may be recommended to maintain safety of the owner and trainers.
  • Does my dog need to be neutered/spayed to join a training program?
Intact or neutered and spayed dogs are all welcome! During board and train programs, all dogs are closely supervised and never left unattended. *NOTE* - Female dogs in heat are not allowed in any training programs for the full duration, usually a minimum of 21 days. No exceptions.
  • Where does my dog stay during their Board & Train program?
Our goal is to create realistic training scenarios for our students, making the transition easy once you take them home. Your dog will be cared for as if they were one of our own. They are always supervised and never left unattended at home, they tag along to any errands, field trips and sleep safely in temperature controlled rooms in their assigned size-appropriate crates.
  • How often will I receive progress updates?
You will receive updates from once a week to 3 times a week. You will get progress videos and miscellaneous content showing you where they have been and what they have been working on during their stay.
  • What if my dog already completed a Board & Train program elsewhere?
If your dog has already completed a training program elsewhere and you are looking to improve or maintain their obedience, we welcome you and your pup with open arms! After an evaluation, we will be able to determine how we can assist in their training.
  • Does it matter how old my dog is?
Dogs typically respond better when they are younger, but we train dogs of all ages!
  • What type of breeds do you train?
No need discrimination here. All breeds are welcome!
  • Do you offer boarding services?
We offer boarding services to existing clients and graduates priced at $35/night.
  • Where are Private Sessions held?
Private Sessions are held at our facility. You take the knowledge you've learned in the sessions and apply it at home.
